Ethnography – Inclusion

We live on lands that have been occupied before time immemorial by indigenous people, we can not write history without inclusion. In Washington State we have a unique relationship with our Native American tribes, the landscape and the intertwined history. We at Abbott Cultural Heritage believe is creating safe spaces for proactive and decolonial conversations

Morgan Frazier has been providing her historical and cultural expertise to our company for the past three years, and we could not be happier with the results and communication.

Morgan Frazier volunteered her organizational, museum and archaeological collection expertise to assist the Friends in cataloging and accessioning all the Plankhouse contents into PastPerfect. We could not be more thrilled to have a system in place!

About

Abbott Cultural Heritage Preservation

Meet the Owner – Connecting personal, local, regional, and national stories to the universality of the human experience.

Morgan Frazier M.A.

Public Historian, HGIS Analyst, Cartographer, Genealogist, Archaeologist, Preservationist

In my work, I often collaborate and facilitate conversations with people that have similar goals but different approaches – when working with indigenous groups, I work to honor the traditional and cultural protocols to create a conducive, respectful, environment in which to collaborate. As well as when I work with families researching their family history – I strive to listen and provide a holistic approach to discovering the forgotten histories and lives of those ancestors.

Mine is a reflective process – creating a path toward better public history outcomes, more widely engaged audiences and partners, and a process which recognizes non-credentialed experts and the multiple subjectivities of historical interpretation.

Here is Morgan, adventuring and canoeing the World Heritage Site Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal.
It is 126 ft above the river, she will do almost anything for history!
The aqueduct crosses the River Dee in the Vale of Llangollen in north east Wales. The 18-arched stone and cast iron structure is for use by narrowboats and was completed in 1805 having taken ten years to design and build.
